HY-JDMF Carbon Ring Seal
Made of carbon graphite or metal-impregnated/resin-impregnated graphite materials
Carbon ring seals are gas-throttled, non-contacting floating ring seals. Their sealing principle relies on a gas film formed between the floating ring and the shaft sleeve to generate throttling and pressure drop, preventing high-pressure gas from flowing toward the low-pressure side.
Depending on the medium and operating conditions, different structural forms such as standard, gas impedance, or oil impedance are used.
Used extensively in turbines, blowers, high-temperature valves, and CNG compressor throttling ring seals across the metallurgy, petroleum, chemical, power, and machinery industries. Select materials based on specific operating conditions.
